Set in the Buckinghamshire countryside and is located in the buildings and the surrounding orchards of an 1831 farm. The Museum offers a fascinating and inexpensive day out for the family with many interesting displays and artefacts to see.
Although the museum is basically a Rural Life Museum with many exhibits relating to farming, country life, trades and professions within a 25 mile radius of Pitstone, it has many other interesting exhibits, including the Elliott shop from Invinghoe village, the 37 HP Crossley gas engine from Tring, the working Blacksmith, Brush maker shop, Plumber and Wheelwright.
There is a vast amount to see for all the family and a visit could keep you occupied all day. Our quick tour of the museum yards does not include all the exhibits as we do not want to give away all our surprises!
